So what have we learnt here at Play in the Space over the past 12 months of strategy consulting for SME's?
The main take away is that most business owners know their own business, they know their markets well and have good relationships with clients.

There are several criticisms;
- Big consulting has lost its strategic focus amid rapid growth.
- These firms often make clients reliant on their services.
- Because they hang around, it gets expensive very quickly.
Does AI put strategy consulting in a new space, particularly for SME's who know their own business?
Yes is the short answer but firstly our definition of strategy.
Our new artifical friends can help in a particular way.
Firstly, AI will dramatically reduced the cost of prediction, which is the foundation for any decision, human or artificial.
Secondly, the value of judgment increases. Happily humans have a monopoly on judgement.
We it comes to making better decisions with AI, humans will always (or should) be involved.
That means business owners, who know their business, are best placed to apply this judgement.
Ideally, SME's looking to grow and compete, will have decision making super powers.
